Global Stewardship Study Program
Spend a semester of your college education in Belize, Central America with the Global Stewardship Study Program (GSSP)

Study Christian-based environmental stewardship at Jaguar Creek, an environmental education center in the rain forest of Belize. Explore with highly-qualified faculty and staff the interconnected dimensions of natural ecology, human consumption, population, Christian discipleship, culture and economics under the canopy of a tropical rain forest, diving on a tropical coral reef, walking the corridors of government, working with non-government organization, and living amongst the Belizean people. Do all this, and earn credit toward your BA degree, in either the fall or spring semester.

Through four months of study, reflection, discussion, research, travel, and cross-cultural living, GSSP will help you:

  • Explore contemporary global issues in integrated and interdisciplinary courses that draw from theological, scientific, ethical, sociological, cultural and economic disciplines
  • Develop Christian faith that cares for all God's creation
  • Gain valuable experience in an internship or practicum that will equip you for future service in the environmental field, international mission, relief and development, education, etc.
  • Examine your career goals and interests
